Leadership

The people who own the outcome.

Allan Parker, Director
Director

Allan Parker

Co-founder. 35+ years across electrical, solar and energy retail.

Allan started his career as an Electrical Apprentice in 1988 with ACT AGL. He transcended the ranks, succeeding in a variety of roles including Service Manager and Asset Manager. While working for AGL, he relocated to the sunny state of Queensland — along with his wife Julie, their youngest son, and their two dogs — to take up the role of National Sales Manager. This role saw Allan providing electricity, gas, and energy services (including PV solar) to a distinguished client-base of household brand names. After working for AGL for 21 years, Allan identified a need for tailored solar energy and electrical solutions in Brisbane and surrounding areas, and this prompted him to start Act Now Energy Solutions in partnership with his soon-to-be son-in-law, Jason. He is a passionate NSW supporter and, when he's not working or hanging out with his family and adored grandkids, 'Poppy' also enjoys regular surf skis along the Shorncliffe coastline.
Jason Satchell, Director
Director

Jason Satchell

Co-founder and qualified nation-wide inspector for industry regulators.

Jason was a high achiever from a very young age. He proved this by completing his electrical apprenticeship while playing football for both his hometown (in the ACT) and NSW. At the tender age of 22, Jason moved to Brisbane and started Act Now Energy Solutions in partnership with Allan. The young man's drive and determination saw him through the bumpy road of self-employment, learning as he went. At first, he worked from his van on the road and lived at his (future) in-laws' place, while continuing to play his beloved football for the Qld Aspley Hornets and NE AFL. While he may still have been considered a spring chicken by many of his peers, various industry regulators took note of the high quality of his installations. Their good opinion of his workmanship led to greater opportunities — and with characteristic determination and enthusiasm, Jason did the training to emerge as a qualified nation-wide inspector, carrying out audits and inspections on behalf of industry regulatory bodies, a service he now offers to our clients.
